Replacing Face Painting During Covid...

Well, my community, 2020 did not work out for face painting, did it?  We still don't know about 2021, either.  It has been a long haul without our community but I do send out my wishes to you and your family that you are safe and continue to be so.

Since we do not know when we will be able to return to get-togethers with face painting, I thought I would start off the new year with some ideas for activities that you might be able to do at home or with your family.  I cannot take credit for these --- they come through my Facebook feed --- but I thought they were wonderful and wanted to share them with you all.  I hope that you find some enjoyment in them, or are finding other fun ways to enjoy your days safely.

DAILY / WEEKLY CHALLENGES have been all the rage for quite a long time, now, and Heather-Feather often enjoys doing a variety of types of challenges.  Some of these have been art challenges, photography challenges, reading challenges, and more.  Having a daily challenge can help to keep the mind stimulated while we have fun.  Here is a prompt list for a weekly drawing challenge from 2020 by Jake Parker who was the creator of Inktober.  For more information on Inktober and Jake Parker, you can go to... https://inktober.com/ .  You may also be able to search for other prompt lists for challenges online with your parents' permission.

Here is the link to the PETERBOROUGH PUBLIC LIBRARY... https://www.ptbolibrary.ca .  Once on their website, you can find all kinds of fantastic activities to do, including online classes, craft-along workshops (you pick up the supplies from them to take home and then follow along online to learn how to do a certain craft), and of course book clubs and more.

Okay my sweeties, lots of love to our community and wishing you a happy 2021! I look forward to seeing you all again and putting smiles back on faces when our leaders say that we can finally do so.  Take care, All!
